The official pen of the United States Government. Modestly made by workers who are blind, this Skilcraft U.S. Government Retractable Ballpoint Pen is seemingly simple in its appearance. Made to fit undetected in any military uniform, its sleek barrel and lightweight construction may appear unassuming, but don’t be fooled; this pen is a finely engineered, and highly valued tool of the United States Government!Engineered to perfection!
The Skilcraft U.S. Government Pen is built to a 16 page specification list developed by military engineers. Among many others, the list of requirements includes:
Being able to write in extreme temperatures (up to 160 degrees, and down to 40 degrees below zero)
Being able to write for one linear mile under 125 grams of pressure
Must have an American made brass refill cartridge
The plastic barrel must be at least 4 5/8 inches long
The ball will consist of 94% tungsten carbide and 6% Cobalt
Ink will not average more than 15 skips or blobs per 1,000 feet of writing
Ink shall not be removed after complete submersion in water for 48 hours, or after two applications of chemical bleach
The Skilcraft U.S. Government Retractable Ball Point Pen is imprinted with 'U.S. Government' on the barrel. Designed to write anywhere, regardless of climate or altitude, this government workhorse will write for up to one mile! Ink will not skip or smear, and a brass refill cartridge is included for extended shelf life. Pen barrel indicates pen color.
