This small folding pocket knife has everything a big one has to offer. Extremely well made, it has an ideal size for everyday use. Light, its weight will be completely forgotten in your pocket or in your hiking bag. Its orange handle, like many hunting knives, will be easy to find if you lose it in the wild.
The handle in Grivory® (thermoplastic reinforced with fiberglass) is guilloché on the contact surface which ensures a good grip.
The opening of the blade is very easy with one hand thanks to a lug on the blade and an "axis lock" safety device blocks it, which will ensure you use it with maximum safety.
The blade is made of hard S30V steel which gives it a good edge and good resistance over time.
The penknife is equipped with a reversible clip that you can, according to your convenience, place on the right or on the left of the handle. This operation will be done with a mini 6-sided wrench (not supplied in the box).

About the BENCHMADE brand

In the 1980s, Les de Asis handcrafted Bali-song (butterfly knife from the Philippines). Like many companies in the USA, the beginnings were modest, a small room on the second floor with rudimentary equipment bought second-hand. Jody Samson helped him improve the blades. The success of this first creation, the Bali-Song model 68, allowed them to develop their offer with folding knives in particular.
In 1987, Les de Asis wanted even more quality for these products. It was therefore obvious that his company had to adopt a new name. BENCHMADE, literally MADE ON THE BENCH, seemed to perfectly reflect the ambitions and values ​​of "handmade" and quality craftsmanship.
The Californian premises having become too narrow, the company moved to a factory in Clackamas, Oregon, the products definitively adopting the BENCHMADE KNIFE COMPANY brand. Oregon being the heart of knife manufacturing in the USA, this situation allowed them to access new technologies. BENCHMADE has thus become the first cutlery to equip itself with a High Power laser cutter allowing them to work on steels that are impossible to stamp. BENCHMADE also became and remains to this day the world leader in the manufacture of automatic knives and a major supplier to military units.

In 1996, the company to cope with its development moved to Oregon City. Since then, the company has been manufacturing high quality products on American soil.
