Keep your leather shoes looking shiny and new by polishing them with Lincoln shoe polish and buffing them with Lincoln Professional Shine & Buff Cloths. These genuine shoe shine cloths are perfectly sized to deliver the speed and “snap” stroke used by professional shoe care experts.

Old rags and towels can fray, pill, or shed. Polishing your dress shoes with rags means leaving fibers in the soft polish to dry on your shoes and mar the finish. Lincoln Professional Shine & Buff Cloths are cut from new cotton flannel and are blanket-stitched to prevent fraying and shedding. Each cloth features soft cotton flannel nap on one side, while the reverse side is cotton canvas for strength.

Directions: Apply shoe polish with a soft sponge or dauber. Allow to dry, then polish with a soft brush. Buff to a glossy “spit shine” with these buff cloths, using quick, taut strokes to heat the wax while pressing and blending the polish into the leather.

Cloth can be hand-laundered to maintain softness and prevent polish from hardening. Wash cloth in warm, soapy water, rinse well, and allow to air dry after each shine session.

Soft Flannel Cloth | We cut these cloths from soft cotton flannel and hem them with soft threading, so you get an even, high-gloss shine without any scuffs or scrapes in the finish.

Sewn Edges | All four edges of our soft buff cloths feature blanket stitching in soft threads, so you won't need to worry about frayed edges or stray fibers.

Perfect Size | Each cloth measures approximately 5” wide by 20” long, so you can cover the toe of your shoe in only a few strokes. The long length allows you to develop speed with a “snap” at the end of the stroke to press and blend the polish into the leather

Lincoln Stain Wax Shoe Polish (Black) gives a quick, bright, and lasting shine to most of the black leather products we make. Lincoln Black Shoe Polish can be used to “blacken up” historical reproductions after field use. It can also be used for the perfect military “SPIT SHINE” finish on boots and belting. Not for use on suede or man-made materials.

When the United Nations came to San Francisco in 1945 to develop its charter, Lincoln created a special polish for the U.S. Marines who stood watch over the proceedings. Following World War II, the Corps made Lincoln’s Marine Cordovan standard issue in a soldier’s duffel, so that the military’s boots on the ground would shine with the finest carnauba wax.

One sergeant was so infuriated by the ease with which his dogfaces were able to raise a spit-polish shine with Lincoln that he sent the company a letter saying he had banned its use by his unit. That grudging testimonial remains tucked away in a safe at the Lincoln Shoe Polish Co.

How to Apply Lincoln Shoe Polish:

Give your leather a quick wipe with a damp sponge or cloth and leave to dry naturally. Apply lightly over the entire product with a soft cloth or dauber. Polish lightly with a brush and finish with a soft cloth or Canton flannel. To bring out an extra bright shine, apply a second coat after the first coat has been polished.
